A Time to Reflect
The current conflict in Iraq gives us a chance to re-examine history. The Nazis, Fascist Italians, and Imperialistic Japanese are obvious threats. Was Iraq a threat to World Peace? Only time will provide the answer that question.
Until they return safely. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS in Iraq and else where!!!!!

Germany and Italy, were not, at the time, an obvious threat - at least not to the United States. In hind sight, Communist Russia was a bigger threat. If Germany did not declare war on the United States first, the US might not have entered the ‘European’ conflict. At the time, many argued that a two theater war was unwise.
If the United States, would have only engaged the Japanese in the Pacific, it would have cost less American lives. But the outcome in Europe probably would have been different. Most are glad that the US help overthrow Hitler even though he did not threaten the US directly.
